Planning your Loved's One's Funeral Liturgy
"There is a season for everything, a time for beginning, a time for ending."
The death of a relative, a friend or family member is a traumatic and painful experience.
Regardless of circumstances, you are shocked at what has happened. This enforced absence from your life may leave you feeling vulnerable and uncertain.
Our Parish encourages you to be as fully involved as you can in planning your loved's one's Liturgy. It is their final journey and in the Liturgy we celebrate the life and faith of your loved one; we commend him/her to the Lord, we support and pray for all those who mourn.
Discuss with your family members and friends who would like to do the readings and take part in the prayers of intercession. The Parish will provide you with a Booklet wherein you will find a selection of suitable readings. Again, choose family members or friends of the deceased to bring the gifts of bread and wine to the altar. For more information on the Funeral Liturgy see below the following guidelines;-
